Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund is an exchange-traded fund registered in the USA. The Fund's objective is to provide investment results that, before expenses, correspond to the performance of The Energy Select Sector Index. The Index includes companies that develop & produce crude oil & natural gas, and provide drilling & other energy related services, & included 24 stocks as of 05/02/02. Each Fund will normally invest at least 95% of its total assets in common stocks that comprise the relevant Select Sector Index. The Funds have adopted a policy that requires each fund to provide shareholders with at least 60 days notice prior to any significant material change in a fund's policy or its underlying index.
