For the six months ended 6/30/04, total revenues increased 45% to $5.34 billion. Net income applicable to Common increased 39% to $815.8 million. Revenues reflect higher net premiums earned due to increased syndicate capacity. Net income was partially offset by an increase in loss on exchange rates.
