The Company manufactures in 13 countries under 11 major brand names and markets products to distributors and retailers in more than 170 countries. The Company manufactures and markets a full line of major appliances and related products, primarily for home use. The Company's principal products are home laundry appliances, home refrigerators and freezers, home cooking appliances, home dishwashers, room air-conditioning equipment, and mixers and other small household appliances. Whirlpool Corp. manufactures and markets major home appliances and related products for commercial and home use in Canada, Mexico, Latin America, Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. For the six months ended 06/02, revenues rose 4% to $5.31 billion. Net income from continuing operations before accounting change rose 38% to $148 million. Results reflect increased shipments in North America due to appliance innovations, and a reduction in restruct
