Vanguard Extended Market VIPER is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to track the performance of the Wilshire 4500 Completion Index. The Fund typically invests substantially all of its assets in a representative sample of the Index, a broadly diversified group of stocks from small and medium-sized U.S. companies. The Index consists of all the common stocks regularly traded on the New York and American Stock Exchanges and the Nasdaq over-the-counter market, except those in the S&P500 Index.
