Radio One, Inc. is a radio broadcasting company in the United States that primarily targets African-Americans. The Company owns and/or operates 67 radio stations, of which, 53 are FM and 14 are AM, in 22 markets, including Washington, D.C; Atlanta, Georgia; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Louisville, Kentucky; Dallas, Texas; Los Angeles, California; Miami, Florida; Richmond, Virginia; Detroit, Michigan, and Dayton, Ohio. Radio One programs five channels on the XM Satellite Radio system and owns approximately 40% of TV One LLC, an African-American-targeted cable channel, which is a joint venture with an affiliate of Comcast Corporation and other investors. The Company's primary programming format is urban format, targeting the 18-and-above age group. Other programming formats include Gospel, Jazz, Alternative Rock, Urban Talk, Ethnic, Rhythmic, R&B/Oldies, Country, Modern Rock and News/Sports/Talk. The Company's national platform of radio stations reaches over 12.8 million listeners weekly.

Financial Information
For the nine months ended 9/30/04, revenues rose 6% to $240.2 million. Net income applicable to Common increased 15% to $27.9 million. Revenues reflect increased demand for advertising due to increased listenership. Higher income also reflects improved gross margins.
