Business Description
ARAMARK Corporation is a provider of a range of outsourced services to business, educational, healthcare and governmental institutions and sports, entertainment and recreational facilities. It provides or manages services in two strategic areas: Food and Support Services and Uniform and Career Apparel, which are organized and managed in business segments including Food and Support Services - United States, Food and Support Services - International, Uniform and Career Apparel - Rental and Uniform and Career Apparel - Direct Marketing. The Food and Support Services Group manages interrelated services, including food, refreshment, facility and other support services, for clients in the United States and in 17 other countries. The Uniform and Career Apparel Group provides uniforms, career and image apparel, equipment, work clothes and accessories to meet the needs of clients in a range of industries. In May 2003, ARAMARK divested its Educational Resources business.

Financial Information
For the fiscal year ended 10/01/04, sales rose 8% to $10.19 billion. Net income from continuing operations fell 1% to $263.1 million. Results reflect increased U.S. and International Food and Support Services sales, offset by a $10.7 million pre-tax write-down of investments.
