QUALCOMM, Inc. develops, designs, manufactures and markets digital wireless telecommunications products and services based on its code division multiple access (CDMA) technology. The Company develops and supplies CDMA-based integrated circuits (ICs) and system software for wireless voice and data communications and global positioning system (GPS) products to wireless device and infrastructure manufacturers. It grants licenses to use its intellectual property portfolio, which includes certain rights essential to and/or useful in the manufacture and sale of CDMA products, and receives license fees, as well as ongoing royalties based on sales by licensees of wireless telecommunications equipment products incorporating its CDMA technologies. The Company's business is organized into four operating segments: QUALCOMM CDMA Technologies, QUALCOMM Technology Licensing, QUALCOMM Wireless & Internet and QUALCOMM Strategic Initiatives.

Financial Information
For the three months ended 12/26/04, revenues rose 15% to $1.39 billion. Net income from continuing operations rose 25% to $513 million. Revenues reflect higher unit shipments of MSM and accompanying RF integrated circuits and increased royalties to QTL segment. Higher income also reflects an increase in investment gains.
