Power-One, Inc. is a designer and manufacturer of power conversion products. The Company develops these products primarily for the communications infrastructure market, whose growth was fueled by the proliferation of Internet usage and the convergence of voice, data and video applications. Power-One's products are used to convert and process electrical energy to the high levels of quality, reliability and precise levels of direct current (DC) required by the digital economy. With more than 2,500 products, the Company has one of the most comprehensive product lines in the power conversion industry, and is one of only a few companies that can power virtually every segment of a communications infrastructure network.

Power-One is a designer and manufacturer of power conversion products sold to telecommunications and Internet service providers and datacom and telecom equipment manufacturers. For the six months ended 6/30/02, revenues decreased 60% to $104.6 million. Net loss decreased 73% to $17.6 million. Revenues reflect weakness in the communications infrastructure marketplace. Lower loss benefitted from the absence of $11.1 million in asset impairment charges.
