PETCO Animal Supplies, Inc. is a specialty retailer of premium pet food, supplies and services with 654 stores in 43 states and the District of Columbia. The Company's products include pet food, supplies, grooming products, toys, novelty items, vitamins and veterinary supplies. It also offers small pets such as fish, birds and other small animals (excluding cats and dogs). PETCO stores combine a merchandise selection and everyday low prices of a pet supply warehouse store with the location and customer service of a neighborhood pet supply store. The Company also offers obedience training in most of its stores, grooming in the majority of its stores and limited veterinary services, such as routine vaccinations, at a number of stores.

Financial Information
For the 39 weeks ended 10/30/04, revenues rose 13% to $1.32 billion. Net income increased 28% to $56.1 million. Results reflect the addition of 62 new stores and an increase in operating margin and gross margin.
