Business Description
PACCAR Inc. is a multinational company whose two principal businesses segments include the design, manufacture and distribution of light-, medium- and heavy-duty commercial trucks and related aftermarket distribution of parts, and finance and leasing services provided to customers and dealers. The Company distributes trucks and parts primarily through its independent dealer network. In North America, trucks are sold under the Kenworth and Peterbilt nameplates and in Europe, under the DAF and Foden nameplates. The Company's finance and leasing activities are principally related to Company products and associated equipment. Other manufactured products include industrial winches. Financing and leasing operations are conducted by PACCAR subsidiaries in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia and Europe.

Financial Information
For the fiscal year ended 12/31/04, revenues rose 39% to $11.40 billion. Net income rose 72% to $906.8 million. Revenues reflect market share gains for the Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF truck brands and a robust commercial vehicle market. Net income also reflects improved margins at the trucking business.
