Omnicare, Inc. is a provider of pharmaceuticals and related pharmacy services to long-term care institutions such as skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities and retirement centers, as well as hospitals and other institutional healthcare facilities in the United States. The Company provided pharmacy services to long-term care facilities consisting of approximately 1,003,000 beds in 47 states and the District of Columbia as of December 31, 2003. Omnicare also provides contract research organization services (CRO). The Company is an international provider of comprehensive product development and research services to client companies in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and diagnostics industries. As of December 31, 2003, Omnicare provided CRO services to clients in 29 countries around the world. In December 2004, the Company acquired Clinimetrics Research Associates, Inc., a privately held clinical research organization headquartered in San Jose, California.

Financial Information
For the nine months ended 9/30/04, sales increased 19% to $3.05 billion. Net income rose 35% to $179.8 million. Revenues reflect the growth in the pharmacy services segment due to the new business, and implementation the clinical and other services programs. Earnings also reflect higher operating margins.
