Its digital mobile networks support multiple digital wireless services, such as digital mobile telephone service, which include speakerphone, conference calling, voice-mail, call forwarding, and additional line service; Nextel Direct Connect service that enable subscribers anywhere on its network in the same country to talk to each other instantly on a private one-to-one call or on a group call; and International Direct Connect service that enable subscribers to communicate instantly across national borders with its subscribers in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, and Peru, and with Nextel Communications and Nextel Partners subscribers in the United States. The company also offers Internet services, mobile messaging services, email, and advanced Java enabled business applications, as well as provides international roaming capabilities. It also provides analog specialized mobile radio services in Chile. The company was organized in 1995 and was formerly known as Nextel International, Inc. NII Holdings is based in Reston, Virginia.
