Moody's Corporation is a provider of credit ratings, research and analysis covering debt instruments and securities in the global capital markets and a provider of quantitative credit assessment services, credit training services and credit process software to banks and other financial institutions. The Company operates in two business segments, Moody's Investors Service and Moody's KMV. Moody's Investors Service publishes rating opinions on a range of credit obligations issued in domestic and international markets, including various corporate and governmental obligations, structured finance securities and commercial paper programs. It also publishes investor-oriented credit research, including in-depth research on debt issuers, industry studies, special comments and credit opinion handbooks. Moody's KMV is a provider of credit risk management products for banks and investors in credit-sensitive assets.

Financial Information
For the six months ended 6/30/04, revenues rose 17% to $688.8 million. Net income rose 7% to $207 million. Results reflect growth from the global structured finance, global research and MKMV businesses, partially offset by stock-based compensation expenses.
