Business Description
Lockheed Martin Corporation principally researches, designs, develops, manufactures, integrates, operates and supports advanced technology systems, products and services. The Company serves customers in domestic and international defense, civil and commercial markets, with its principal customers being agencies of the United States Government. In 2003, approximately 78% of its net sales were made to the United States Government, either as a prime contractor or as a subcontractor. Approximately 16% of its net sales in 2003 were made to foreign governments (including foreign military sales). Approximately 6% of net sales in 2003 were made to commercial customers (mainly launch services, satellites and information technology services). As a lead systems integrator, the Company's products and services range from aircraft, spacecraft and launch vehicles to missiles, electronics and information systems, including integrated net-centric solutions.

Financial Information
For the nine months ended 9/30/04, revenues rose 12% to $25.56 billion. Net income rose 26% to $894 million. Revenues reflect higher volumes on the C-5, F-35 and F/A-22 programs. Net income also reflects improved operating margins.
