KeyCorp is a bank holding company and a financial holding company. Through its subsidiaries provides a range of retail and commercial banking, commercial leasing, investment management, consumer finance and investment banking products and services to individual, corporate and institutional clients. The Company's three business groups are Consumer Banking, Corporate and Investment Banking and Investment Management Services. During the year ended December 31, 2003, these services were provided across the United States through subsidiaries operating 906 full-service retail banking branches, known as KeyCenters, a telephone banking call center services group and 2,167 automated teller machines (ATMs) in 17 states. KeyCorp is also an equity participant in a joint venture with Key Merchant Services, LLC, which provides merchant services
Financial Information
For the nine months ended 9/30/04, interest income decreased 7% to $2.8 billion. Net interest income after loan loss provision rose 4% to $1.75 billion. Net income increased 11% to $741 million. Results reflect improved net interest margins, and decreased marketing costs.
