IVAX Corporation is a multinational company engaged in the research, development, manufacture and marketing of pharmaceutical products. The Company manufactures and/or markets several brand name pharmaceutical products and a variety of brand equivalent and over-the-counter pharmaceutical products, primarily in the United States, Europe and Latin America. It also has subsidiaries located throughout the world. The Company specializes in the development, manufacture and marketing of respiratory drugs, primarily for asthma, delivered by metered-dose and dry-powder inhalers. In March 2001, the Company's diagnostics group merged with b2bstores.com forming IVAX Diagnostics, Inc. IVAX owns approximately 72% of the equity of IVAX Diagnostics, Inc. IVAX Diagnostics, Inc. develops, manufactures and markets diagnostic test kits. In December 2004, the Company acquired 97.23% of the remaining shares of the Polish pharmaceutical company, Kutnowskie Zaklady Farmaceutyczne Polfa SA (Polfa Kutno).

Financial Information
For the nine months ended 9/30/04, revenues rose 30% to $1.33 billion. Net income from continuing operations increased 93% to $134.8 million. Revenues reflect higher sales in all business regions due to the launch of new generic products. Higher income also reflects improved gross margins.
