ITT Industries, Inc. is engaged in the design and manufacture of a wide range of engineered products, and in the provision of related services through four segments: Fluid Technology, Defense Electronics & Services, Motion & Flow Control and Electronic Components. Fluid Technology is engaged in the design, development, production, sale and after-sale support of products, systems and services used to move, measure and manage fluids. Defense Electronics & Services develops, manufactures and supports high technology electronic systems and components for worldwide defense and commercial markets. Motion & Flow Control comprises a group of units that produce motion control and flow control products. Electronic Components develops and manufactures connectors, interconnects, cable assemblies, switches, key pads, multi-function grips, panel switch assemblies, dome arrays, input/output card kits, smart card systems, LAN components, high-speed/high-bandwidth network systems and related services.

ITT Industries is engaged in the design and manufacture of a wide range of engineered products focused on the segments of the connectors and switches, defense products and services, pumps and complementary products and specialty products. For the six months ended 6/02, net sales rose 6% to $2.51 billion. Net income rose 22% to $164.4 million. Results reflect higher Defense Electronics and Services segment sales and the absence of goodwill amortization charges.
