Business Description
Henry Schein, Inc. is a distributor of healthcare products and services primarily to office-based healthcare practitioners in the North American and European markets. The Company conducts its business through two segments, Healthcare Distribution and Technology, which offer different products and services to the same customer base. Through these businesses, Henry Schein serves over 425,000 customers worldwide in the dental and medical markets. Its dental and medical products are organized into five categories: consumable dental products and equipment, large dental equipment, dental laboratory products, medical products and veterinary products. Technology products are principally categorized as software and related products and other value-added products including Henry Schein's practice management software products. These products are offered under the Company's brand names including Henry Schein, ProRepair, AVImark, Dentrix and Easy Dental and Digital Dental Office.

Financial Information
For the 39 weeks ended 9/25/04, net sales rose 19% to $2.87 billion. Net income from continuing operations fell 5% to $98.6 million. Results reflect increased market share in each of the business groups and acquisitions, partially offset by lower operating margins.
