Business Description
Hibernia Corporation is a financial holding company that, through its bank and non-bank subsidiaries, provides an array of financial products and services throughout Louisiana and portions of Texas. In 2003, the Company operated 259 locations in 34 Louisiana parishes and 18 Texas counties, and two mortgage loan production and retail brokerage services offices in Southern Mississippi. The principal products and services offered include retail, small business, commercial, international, mortgage and private banking, leasing, investment banking, corporate finance, treasury management, insurance and trust and investment management. Hibernia National Bank, the Company's sole depository institution subsidiary, also acts as a retail broker, providing access to alternative investment products, including mutual funds and annuities.

Financial Information
For the nine months ended 9/30/04, interest income rose 6% to $729.5 million. Net interest income after LLP rose 16% to $518.6 million. Net income rose 16% to $215.8 million. Net interest income reflects increased balances of interest-earning assets and lower interest on deposits. Net income also reflects increased mortgage banking income.
