Fluor Corporation is a diversified industrial company conducting business through five operating segments. The Energy and Chemicals segment provides design, engineering, procurement and construction services on a global basis to an extensive range of oil, gas, refining, chemical, polymer and petrochemical clients. For the six months ended 6/30/02, revenues increased 22% to $5.04 billion. Net income from continuing operations rose 53% to $79.2 million. Revenues reflect increased Energy and Chemicals and Power segments sales. Higher income also reflects lower overhead expenses.
