First Horizon National Corporation, formerly First Tennessee National Corporation, is a bank holding company. The Company provides services through it subsidiaries including general banking services for consumers, businesses, financial institutions and governments; mortgage-banking services; sales and underwriting of bank-eligible securities and securities eligible for underwriting by financial subsidiaries, mortgage loans, advisory services and equity research; transaction processing; trust, fiduciary and agency services; credit card products; discount brokerage; venture capital; equipment finance; financial advisory services; mutual fund sales as agent; retail and commercial insurance sales as agent; private mortgage reinsurance, and consumer lending. In April 2004, the Company changed its name from First Tennessee National Corporation to First Horizon National Corporation.

Financial Information
For the six months ended 6/30/04, total interest income rose 2% to $531.8 million. Net interest income after LLP rose 13% to $383.1 million. Net income rose less than 1% to $237.7 million. Net interest income reflects increased interest earning assets, and a lower interest paid on deposits. Earnings reflect a lower mortgage banking income.
