EP is engaged in the interstate and intrastate transportation, gathering and processing of natural gas; the marketing of natural gas, power and other commodities, and the development and operation of energy infrastructure. For the six months ended 6/02, revenues fell 13% to $6.74 billion. Net income from continuing operations before accnt. chg. and extraordinary items totalled $256 million vs. a loss of $522 million. Results reflect lower financial services activity, offset by lower merger costs.
