Equity Office Properties Trust is a real estate investment trust (REIT) that acquires, owns, manages, develops and leases office properties. Equity Office is the sole general partner of, and owned, at December 31, 2001, approximately an 88% interest in the EOP Partnership. The Company is an owner and operator of office properties in the United States. As of February 2002, Equity Office had a portfolio of 774 office properties, comprising approximately 128 million square feet of commercial office space in 774 buildings in 37 major metropolitan areas across the country. The Company's properties are located in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington and the District of Columbia.

Equity Office Properties Trust is engaged in acquiring, owning, managing, leasing and renovating office properties and parking facilities throughout the U.S. For the six months ended 6/30/02, revenues rose 33% to $1.77 billion. Net income from continuing operations applicable to Common before accounting change rose 51% to $364.2 million. Revenues reflect an increase in rental rates and tenant reimbursements. Earnings also reflect higer margins.
