DGX is a clinical laboratory testing company which offers testing services used by the medical profession in the detection, diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of diseases. For the three months ended 3/31/03, net revenues increased 15% to $1.09 billion. Net income increased 32% to $88 million. Revenues reflect improved pricing on managed care business. Earnings also benefited from improved gross margins and lower operating expenses as a percentage of sales.
