Dade Behring Holdings, Inc. is a manufacturer and distributor of in vitro diagnostics (IVD) products and services to clinical laboratories in the United States. The Company manufactures and markets a range of IVD products and services that include medical diagnostic instruments, reagents and consumables and maintenance services. Reagent and consumable shipments represented approximately 84% of the Company's sales in 2003, while instruments (12%) and maintenance services (4%) accounted for the remainder. Reagents and consumables sales include revenue from instrument rentals included in customer contracts where equipment is placed with end customers in exchange for contractual commitments for ongoing reagent revenues. At December 31, 2003, Dade Behring had a worldwide installed base of approximately 32,400 diagnostic instruments.

Financial Information
For the nine months ended 9/30/04, net sales rose 9% to $1.14 million. Net income rose 57% to $55.9 million. Sales reflect increased core chemistry and hemostasis sales. Net income benefitted from lower interest expense and product mix.
