Net loss before accntg. change totaled $298.5 million, vs. an income of $651.9 million. Results reflect subscriber growth for digital cable and high-speed Internet and increased sales at QVC, offset by investment losses and the absence of a $1.2 billion gain related to the systems exchange with Adelphia.
