This Segment also manufactures and markets new and used oak barrels. The Consumer Durables Segment includes the manufacturing and/or marketing of fine China dinnerware; casual dinnerware and glassware; crystal stemware and barware; China and crystal giftware; collectibles, home decor and jewelry; sterling silver, silver-plated and metal giftware; sterling silver and stainless steel flatware; contemporary tabletop, houseware and giftware; luggage; business cases; and personal leather accessories.

BF.B manufactures, bottles, imports, exports, and markets a variety of alcoholic beverages; and also sells fine china dinnerware, sterling silver, linens, luggage and leather accessories. For the nine months ended 1/31/03, sales rose 6% to $1.81 billion. Net income rose 6% to $187.1 million. Revenues reflect higher Jack Daniel's volume in Europe and gains for Lenox sales directly to consumers. Net income also reflects increased gross profit margins.
