The Allstate Corporation serves as the holding company for Allstate Insurance Company. Its business is conducted principally through Allstate Insurance Company, Allstate Life Insurance Company and their affiliates (collectively, including The Allstate Corporation, Allstate). ALL is a holding company for Allstate Insurance Company and subsidiaries. Allstate is engaged in the annuity, life insurance, property-liability insurance business. For the three months ended 03/03, revenues rose 8% to $7.86 billion. Net income applicable to Common and before acct. change rose 56% to $665 million. Revenues benefited from an increase in Property-Liability premiums earned. Earnings also reflect lower insurance claims and claims expenses.
