ACE Limited is a holding company incorporated with limited liability that, through its various subsidiaries, provides a broad range of insurance and reinsurance products. The Company derives its revenue principally from premiums, fees and investment income. For the six months ended 6/30/02, revenues rose less than 1% to $3.16 billion. Net income before acctg. change and applicable to Common increased 11% to $288.9 million. Revenues reflect an increase in premiums from financial solutions contracts. Net income reflects the absence of goodwill amortization.
